It can feel weird to hire someone to help you with your Nutrition & Wellness. We feel pressure to figure it out ourselves, because we “should” know how to do it on our own… according to whom?!
Even though we might know what to do, many of us have trouble doing it. Also, there is so much conflicting information out there it’s hard to know which way to go, what to do!
Here is a list of questions I have heard regarding the coaching experience. Please contact me directly if you have a question that’s not listed here.
*Remember: My services are not for everyone. If you are looking for a quick fix or want to lose 15 lbs in a week, working with me is not the way to go! I am interested in working with people who want to change their lives. It requires hard work and commitment. That said, I will be with you every step of the way when you are ready.
What sort of program do you use?
I create an individualized program for each client. I am trained by the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN) which promotes (and I love) the philosophy of bio-individuality. What works for one client may not work for another. Additionally, I am a licensed social worker in the state of NY and can help with emotional and/or life issues that might come up along the way. Finally, I am also a proud participant of the Medical Medium Practitioner Support Group where I continue to learn Medical Medium information. I follow and apply the information shared by Anthony William in my practice.
Where do we meet for sessions?
If you are local (in the Capital Region of NY) we will arrange for a mutually convenient location. If you live farther away or if you prefer, we can meet via Skype or FaceTime or even the phone.
How many sessions do you recommend?
As you know, sustainable change takes time. The longer program allows us to dig deep to make those changes and I am with you every step of the way with text and email support between sessions.
That said, I also offer one hour consultations and 30 minute follow up sessions so you can arrange for sessions as you need them.

What if I don’t know how to use Skype or FaceTime?
I will gladly assist you in setting up a Skype account or help you learn to Face Time. The Skype website has a tutorial for its program as does Apple for Face Time. There are many great ‘how to’ videos on the internet you can reach by googling. Or we can use the phone.
What if I need to cancel a session?
We all have busy, crazy lives and I understand if you need to cancel or reschedule a session. The agreement you sign indicates that you notify me 24 hours in advance and we can set a different date. Should you need to cancel the entire session I will add it to the back end of our contracted time together. That way you will be sure you get in each session you paid for! *of course there are always exceptions for extreme situations, those decisions will be made on a case by case basis.
What if you cancel a session on me?
I will hopefully never have to cancel a session with you because I LOVE coaching! However, should I need to cancel or reschedule with you I will give you 24 hours advance notice. We will work out a mutually convenient make-up date.
What if I am not happy with the results?
Wow, I sincerely hope this never happens! However, should you decide you are not jiving with the whole coaching thing I will gladly refund any pre-paid money for sessions not completed. If you decide after the first two sessions that you are not digging it I will refund the entire pre-paid fee.
How do you coach?
As your Coach I work hard to understand your personal wellness situation in a way that both supports you and encourages you to make sustainable change. I am a trained, licensed social worker with 30 years of experience and bring that experience with me to your sessions. I also bring the knowledge gained from participating in Anthony William’s Practitioner Support Group and apply the information he shares in my own practice. My work with each client is unique depending upon your specific needs. I use a variety of techniques – 1:1 sessions, lengthy written summaries of sessions with recommendations, reading suggestions, recipes, supplement ideas, inventories, whatever is needed!
What diet do you recommend?
I am not an advocate of diets AT ALL!! In fact, diets just don’t work! Creating long term life changes takes time and patience. Together we will find out what works best for you, what feels best for your body, in your current life space. Your nutrition will be part of that.
If I work with you, do I have to become a vegetarian?
Ha! No, you do not have to become a vegetarian…but you are free to do so if you wish.
I have a medical condition. Can you deal with that?
I can work with many medical conditions, but let’s be clear- I am not a doctor, (and I don’t even play one on Skype!) I will work with you on wellness and nutrition to support your overall health. Many times when we create positive lifestyle changes our medical issues damp down or even clear up, however this is not always true. It’s a good idea to consult with your doctor should you have any questions about working with a wellness & nutrition coach. I’d be happy to consult with any practitioner you are working with.
Are you a dietician?
I am not a dietician. As a Holistic Wellness & Nutrition Coach I am not so much concerned with calories as I am with healthy choices and lifestyle activities. I am not beholden to any organization or approach, my sole desire is to create a personalized program to help you reach your health goals.
